The most important thing about the Christmas story isn’t your mastery of Nativity trivia. At the center of Christmas is the birth of Jesus. Think about it: The God who made heaven and earth—the God who made you—came to earth in the form of a human baby born to a poor couple. God, who is spirit, became a human just like you.

And God did all of that because he loves you and wants to be friends with you. The greatest gift God ever gave you was himself—in the form of his Son. The greatest gift you can ever give him is yourself—so you can enjoy the friendship God wants to have with you.

TALK: How are you going to give yourself to God in thanks for all that he has given you?

PRAY: God, we want to give ourselves to you. Show us how!

ACT: Spend some time today with God—worshiping the One who came into your world to know you!
